Who’s involved in the Network?
Communities, Town and Parish Councils, North Somerset Council, Avon and Somerset Police, Avon Fire and Rescue, the Environment Agency, North Somerset Internal Drainage Board, NHS North Somerset, voluntary, faith and community groups but the list of stakeholders is growing as the scheme develops and we identify more crosscutting opportunities.
Who can take part?
Anyone living in North Somerset or who has an interest in supporting a local community can volunteer to be involved in a Community Resilience Network. There are no restrictions on the number of participants and we don’t require any special skills as training will be provided.
Those aged between 14-18 are eligible to volunteer subject to suitable supervision.
What skills are required?
Training is provided so all that’s required is some local knowledge and enthusiasm and volunteers can offer as much or as little time as they have available.
